Everton v Manchester United

Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra will return for Manchester United at Everton, with Michael Carrick pencilled in for a comeback against West Ham United on Wednesday.

Ferdinand (groin) and Evra (hamstring) both missed Tuesday's Champions League win over Celtic, while Carrick has been restricted to just 70 minutes' Barclays Premier League action all season with an ankle injury.

Dimitar Berbatov (hip) and Cristiano Ronaldo (knee) have recovered from minor knocks and will play at Goodison Park, while Paul Scholes and Owen Hargreaves (both knee) are out.

Team Updates:

Everton defender Tony Hibbert will have to undergo a fitness test on a sore ankle.

Joseph Yobo has returned to full strength following illness and Victor Anichebe is also fit, having managed to shrug off a hamstring complaint.

However, Everton will again be without midfielder Tim Cahill who is still suspended following his red card in the Merseyside derby almost a month ago.
